Here is a review from student Joe Brinales:
"Kenwood is an absolute Master Drummer and Teacher. Over the course of 4 days, Kenwood shared his knowledge, experience and passion for drumming, music, and teaching. He has a keen presence and an intuitive ability to focus his listening, which had me focus my own listening Not only did I learn about groove, technique and timing, but his approach helped to build my knowledge, skill, and confidence as a drummer, amd transformed how music occurred to me.
Kenwood’s teaching is largely experiential. He demonstrates everything, breaks it down, and then patiently works with you, until you master it. He noticed and encouraged my strength, while also providing me with exercises and drills to help me through some weaker areas. Perhaps most important, Kenwood listened to what I had to say, and he knew when to push me. He opened me up to a whole new experience, including making mistakes—giving me the freedom to expand and rapidly learn, and have some fun.
Throughout my life I've had the opportunity to work with some the best coaches and teachers in numerous fields, and Kenwood still managed to blow me away." -Joe Brinales
